The Gold Toe brand is well known and they do a nice job with dress socks. However, most of their products are a bit pricey and often it is worth the extra cost.

These specific white socks I've owned before and they are decent. However, after washing them repeatedly I have found that the elastic at the top and throughout the sock doesn't hold up any better than less expensive socks of a similar composition (i.e. 82% cotton, 17% stretch nylon and 1% spandex.

On the upside, there is a lot of cotton and these socks are very absorbent. The reinforced toes are also a plus and this in itself makes them somewhat better than other similar products, but perhaps not enough to justify the price difference. (The package is marked $12.00/3 and I paid $9.00 on Amazon.)

I have been buying gold-toe socks for years. Until about three years ago, I was very pleased with gold-toe. However, in the past few years I have found that the socks stretch out of shape after only a few washings. To claim to make a sock that fits sizes 6-12 shoe is patently impossible. Oh, at first it may. But I wear size 7 1/2 shoe and guess what? You got it! After a while it is at least an inch too long and the heal comes up on the Achilles-tendon. These socks are clearly not made for the smaller foot size.
Unless you start making a sock that fits a lower range of sizes, you have lost a long-time customer.

I love these socks. I buy nothing but Gold Toe. They're totally comfortable, priced right, and hold up for years.
